| Bio: | I'm happiest when I manage to combine books, wilderness adventure, and family. Give me a fantasy novel, my kids playing in the dirt, and a lakeside campfire, and I won't ask for anything more. I've been a ballet dancer, cake cutter, and an academic biologist with lots of other crazy jobs in between. Recently, I've reinvented myself as a children's writer focusing on science and adventure. My first picture book, An Algonquin Heart Song: Paddle My Own Canoe, was published last summer. |
